As part of setting the ICT for Manufacturing roadmap for European funding of the Horizon 2020 funding activity, Axillium Research will be holding a UK workshop on 19 October 2011 at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), Coventry.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring a select group of leading UK industry, government and academic representatives together in order to present UK interest and input to the ICT for Manufacturing roadmap being prepared by the EU funded project ActionPlanT.

For Europe to hold on to its global leadership and excellence in manufacturing, it is imperative that improvements at botht the technological and the awareness level are made for ICT-enabled manufacturing processes. This can be done only through a thorough analysis which will help understand the fundamental driving factors of the future manufacturing landscape.

The ActionPlanT working group will conclude activity by mid 2012, so this workshop is an important opportunity for UK industry to add its proposals for future funding.
