10.10.2011
Hi-VIS is an open innovation framework developed by Axillium Research in response to industry demand for effective and open innovation management, specifically in the HVM sector.
Hi-VIS stands for ‘High Value Innovation Service’ and has grown out of the Axillium team’s
know-how and approaches honed in supporting the recent successful £10m Technology Strategy Board ‘Composites Grand Challenge’ programme, lead by GKN Aerospace.
“In just one year, the ‘Composites Grand Challenge’ substantially progressed the UK’s composites manufacturing capabilities across 26 projects that were focused on issues such as energy reduction, automation, process time reduction, materials and sustainability” said John Cornforth, VP Technology – GKN Aerospace, “ A key factor in this successful collaboration was the independent programme management and support provided by Axillium Research, who facilitated and encouraged the intensive interaction and collaboration among the project partners that was the programme’s hallmark."
With their track record in successfully managing innovation programmes and developing strategies that makes a difference to their partners, Axillium is set to provide UK companies with the ability to respond to and engage in funded collaborative R&D, ultimately contributing to the growth of the HVM sector through effective dissemination and exploitation of research and technology.
Will Searle, Founder & MD of Axillium Research, explained “We have always considered the HVM sector our home and have developed our products and services to support research programmes in Materials, Transport and ICT disciplines. At the heart of our service is our ability to connect people and technology effectively, thereby bringing direct benefit to market.”
